On February 6, 2025 the Town of Lake Lure announced that they have started refilling the lake. After the repairs to the dam’s gates, the lake is now refilling at a controlled rate of about 1 foot per day. The plan is for the Lake to be reopened in early May, just in time for the summer tourist season. So make your plans to come visit Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. The mountains are calling, many shops and restaurants are open and we can’t wait to see you!
