We are sure you have seen videos and photos of the devastation to the Hickory Nut Gorge that hurricane Helene delivered in September of 2024. The leaders in Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Bat Cave and Rutherford County stepped forward to use the changes inflicted by Mother Nature as the catalyst to develop a new plan for businesses, tourists and residents to utilize our natural resources and remodeled landscape as a palette for the future!
The vision for Raise the Rock is stated to restore and revitalize the Village into a vibrant, thriving community that honors its unique history and celebrates its rich cultural and natural resources. Through strategic planning and thoughtful design, we aim to RAISE THE ROCK, positioning the Village to attract a new generation of investors, businesses, and visitors. By striking a careful balance between preservation and progress, we will create a sustainable future that fosters long-term recovery, growth, and a prosperous environment for generations to come.
